Critical infrastructure with Tier IV certification and comprehensive management under a GMP contract.
The BBVA Data Center, located in Atizapan de Zaragoza, State of Mexico, was developed under the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) delivery method, being the first 'At-Risk' project of its kind in Mexico.
This complex holds a Tier IV Gold certification from the Uptime Institute, guaranteeing continuous 24/7 operation with redundant power, cooling, and security systems. This ensures maximum availability and resilience against any contingency.
Bovis led the comprehensive preconstruction and construction management, coordinating the work of multiple technical disciplines and ensuring compliance with the most demanding international standards for critical infrastructure.
Key achievements and scope of work:
230 kV high-voltage substation.
Data Halls 1 and 2, with a capacity of 1.5 MW each.
14 high-capacity emergency diesel generators.
Exterior roadways, heliport, and vehicular access.
Thanks to our management, the BBVA Data Center established itself as one of the most advanced technological complexes in Latin America, strengthening the digital and security infrastructure of one of the country's most important financial institutions.
