Torre Mayor

Preconstruction management and technical oversight of one of Latin America's most iconic skyscrapers.

An icon of modern Mexican architecture
Located on Paseo de la Reforma, Torre Mayor represents an icon of modern Mexican architecture.

Bovis participated in the Preconstruction Management of this 225-meter (738 ft), 55-story project, which set a milestone for its structural innovation, operational efficiency, and commitment to environmental sustainability.
During our involvement, we coordinated key stages of planning, logistics, and technical control, solidifying the  structural and construction viability within a highly complex geological context.

Torre Mayor stands out for its steel and concrete structural system, specifically designed to withstand high-magnitude earthquakes.

Key achievements and scope of work:

Integration of A572 Grade 50 steel and high-strength concrete utilizing a "tube-in-tube" structural system.
Implementation of 98 viscous seismic dampers to ensure unparalleled structural stability.
Consulting on Building Management Systems (BMS) and energy efficiency.
Management of schedules, budgets, and execution procedures.
Consolidate a global benchmark
Our work at Torre Mayor helped  consolidate a global benchmark in structural safety and sustainability.

The building achieved LEED Gold certification and remains a prime example of advanced engineering and efficiency in the region.
