The challenge

We were selected by Inmobiliaria Tecaponiente to provide Project Management services.

The CETRAM Observatorio project is a vision for the future of Mexico City. It was planned to improve transportation, connectivity and improve the quality of life for the inhabitants of the west side of the city by connecting the community to jobs, schools, and entertainment.

The development is part of a policy of optimization and reorganization of urban bus stops, enhanced by real estate development oriented to the complex transport problem of the metropolitan area of Mexico City. This led to the development of a Master Plan that considers the area of influence of the CETRAM and provides guidelines for housing, mobility, sustainability, land use, urban image, and infrastructure to be followed for the improvement of the area.

The architectural project envisages several construction phases: an elongated parking garage base where a 22-storey office towers is planned, which will later house two additional towers of the same height; then a 90,000 sq. m. shopping center will be developed as a base for 3 office towers and a housing complex with public spaces.

Project Brief

The CETRAM Observatorio is one of several modal transfer centers in Mexico City These centers are designed to facilitate the interconnection of different means of public transport, such as subway, buses, inter-city train and collective transport systems, to make the movement of the city's inhabitants more efficient. This project was designed to reduce traffic congestion, reduce environmental pollution, and improve mobility in Mexico City.

These centers offer an efficient way of transferring passengers from one mode of transport to another, which should encourage the use of public transport rather than private vehicles.

CETRAM Observatorio has undergone various stages of development and improvements, and work is currently continuing on the following building phases.
