The Cancún International Airport is Mexico’s second-busiest airport and the leader in international passenger traffic in Latin America. Bovis is overseeing the comprehensive management of the ambitious 2024–2028 Master Development Plan.
Our involvement includes the simultaneous management and coordination of more than 90 construction contracts and 12 design contracts, ensuring the efficient execution of key projects to expand operational capacity and improve the passenger experience.
Key achievements and scope of work:
Complete demolition and reconstruction of Terminal 1.
Expansion of Terminal 4 to include retail areas, waiting lounges, and boarding gates.
Installation of fueling systems and a 40-MW substation.
Reconfiguration of existing taxiways and aprons.
New contact apron and remote parking positions.
Bovis' management helps optimize airport operations and strengthen the key infrastructure needed for sustained growth in tourism in Cancún.
